Meet Done Properly, Chile’s FoodTech Startup Creating a New Generation of Ingredients for the Food Industry

Javier Olave, Eduardo Zavala, Claudio Pedreros and Freddy Boehmwald, founders of Done Properly

Done Properly develops bioprocessed, healthy, natural, and sustainable new ingredients by making use of microorganisms capable of transforming raw materials through fermentation. Done Properly is currently focused on helping large food companies on their transition to adopting non-animal proteins, driven by consumer trends.

The startup, founded in 2019 by Javier Olave, Eduardo Zavala, Claudio Pedreros and Freddy Boehmwald, was invited in March to the Future Food-Tech fair in San Francisco, where they publicly presented the first “seal free” (healthy food indicator) white mushroom hamburger patty, co-created with Agrosuper.

Done Properly was selected to take part earlier this year in an acceleratror program at The Circulars Accelerator. The startup has also been previously funded by Angel Ventures, GLOCAL and Venturance Alternative Asssets.
