Juan Guillermo Azuero and Daniela Izquierdo, Co-founders of Foodology with reggaeton icon Maluma

Foodology is a FoodTech company that focuses on operating "virtual restaurants". This modality was especially useful during the Covid-19 pandemic, when restaurants used it as a channel to remain reachable by their customers.

The company founded by Daniela Izquierdo and Juan Guillermo Azuero operates more than 80 kitchens in Colombia, Mexico, Brazil and Peru, currently shipping more than 200,000 orders per month.

Juan Luis Londoño, better known as “Maluma”, is a famous Colombian reggaeton singer who took part in the round.

According to the company, $30 million will go to debt, and $20 million to equity. The round also had the participation of previous investors, such as Andreessen Horowitz, Wollef and Kayyak ventures. The debt was provided by TriplePoint Capital.
