Mottu, a São Paulo-based motorcycle rental and last-mile delivery platform, has secured $50 million in Series C funding to fuel its expansion.

Rubens Zanelatto / Mottu Founder & CEO

Mottu, is a Sau Paulo-based last-mile logistics ecosystem connecting restaurants, retailers, and e-commerce businesses with delivery couriers. Mottu controls its end-to-end operations in more than 30 cities in Brazil and Mexico, so it had to establish its own assembly line in Manaus. Mottu Sport is an SKU assembled by the company and stands out as a fuel-efficient motorcycle in Latin America.

The startup, which serves 50,000 customers, is also entering the mobility market, focused on the large population of commuters in Brazil and Mexico who frequently use public transportation services with poor quality.

Mottu founded in 2020 by Rubens Zanelatto, recently raised USD $50M in a series C round led by QED Investors and Bicycle Capital, and included the participation of Endeavor Catalyst and Caravela.

The company intends to use the funds to expand geographies, improve operational efficiency and customers’ experience.
