FAZ Cred, a Brazilian fintech, offers private payroll loans, credit that gets deducted automatically from a worker's paycheck, to formally employed workers in sectors like healthcare, education, automotive, and construction. The company was originally founded in 2021 as Condolivre, focused on condominium credit, and pivoted after new rules took effect in March 2025 opening up private payroll lending to any formally employed worker through a government marketplace app.
FAZ Cred raised USD $14.8M in just 60 days through a new credit rights investment fund called FAZ Cred Mais Trabalhador. The main backer is Patrimonial, an asset manager overseeing roughly R$1.6 billion, which was already invested in FAZ Cred's original condominium-focused fund.
The new capital tripled the company's total contract volume, and FAZ Cred plans to expand its private payroll lending into the automotive and construction sectors next.
