Brazil’s Fintech for Importers Vixtra Raised USD $3M Pre-Series A Round

Leonardo Baltieri, Guilherme Rosenthal, Caio Gelf, founders of Vixtra

Vixtra is a payment method and credit provider for Latin American importers to buy from international suppliers. The platform intermediates importers’ payments and facilitates making them in Brazilian currency by negotiating with exchange banks. As the startup allows importers to pay their purchases over time, there is no need for them to have excesive working capital upfront anymore.

The startup was founded in 2021 by Leonardo Baltieri, Guilherme Rosenthal and Caio Gelfi, specialists in B2B payments and foreign trade.

“When a Brazilian importer is bringing a product from abroad, he has to make the payment for this import in advance. He pays the international supplier and will receive this product about 90 days later. So, he needs a lot of working capital to import in Brazil". Leonardo Baltieri, Co-founder of Vixtra

The startup's latest round was led by Valor Capital Group, with participation of QED Investors. The capital will be used to increase their transaction volume by 20 times by the first half of 2023, and start expanding into new markets.
