Daki is a Brazilian on-demand platform for essential market products, known for its emphasis on direct distribution, data intelligence, and swift delivery. The startup recently announced it raised USD $50M in its Series D funding round led by Convivialité Ventures, Pernod Ricard's investment arm. The round also had the participation of Lombard Odier as a new investor, as well as existing investors such as G-Squared, GGV, Balderton Capital, Greycroft, Tiger Global and Monashees.

Founded by Rafael Vasto, Alex Bretzner and Rodrigo Maroja, Daikin operates with a model where instead of relying on intermediaries, it purchases products directly from suppliers, ensuring authenticity and cost-effectiveness. To further streamline its operations, the company has established its own logistics system. A significant aspect of its distribution strategy is the use of the dark store chain. These dark stores, which are essentially retail distribution centers, have enabled the company to execute rapid distribution across all the regions served.

"We are extremely proud of the trust placed by new and existing investors in our team and our business, which combines a high-quality service and relevance for the Brazilian consumer with solid and sustainable growth. Today marks another important step in our mission to reinvent retail as we know it and build a leading business in Brazil." -Rafael Vasto, CEO of Daki
