Cashea Raises USD $100M Series B

Venezuelan BNPL platform Cashea raised a USD $100M Series B to expand credit access for consumers and merchants across the country.

Cashea lets people in Venezuela buy things now and pay for them later in interest-free installments, without needing a credit card. That matters in a country where most adults can't get traditional bank credit: shoppers link their ID at a partner store, get approved in minutes, and split the cost of anything from groceries to appliances into a handful of payments.

Cashea has raised a USD $100M Series B round from a group of global investors, the company announced. Individual backers were not disclosed, though Cashea said the full amount will be deployed inside Venezuela to expand access to credit for consumers and merchants.

Since launching in 2022, Cashea has built more than 10 million consumer accounts — equivalent to over half of Venezuela's adult population — and works with a network of 40,000 stores nationwide, processing more than 100 million transactions to date. With the new capital, the company plans to move beyond its zero-interest installment product into new payment and savings tools for both shoppers and retailers.
