BeConfident lets students in Brazil practice speaking and learning with an AI tutor instead of, or alongside, a human teacher. It started as a WhatsApp-based tool before expanding into its own app, and now offers voice conversations with AI tutors as well as a marketplace where subject experts can build and sell their own specialized AI tutors, similar to publishing an online course.
The company has raised USD $15.8 million in a Series A round led by Prosus Ventures.
