Mexican veterinary services startup Vetalia specializes in providing pet care through a combination of modern clinics and a user-friendly technological platform. Their goal is to create a convenient one-stop-shop where people can access everything related to their pet care needs in Mexico and Latin America.

The startup founded by María Gutiérrez and Marion Benítez Landa, has recently raised USD $10M in its recent investment round. The funding was led by prominent investors, including Lukas Keindl, founder of BondVet; Andrea Viejo, former General Manager of Laika Mexico; Terry Gutierrez, Country Manager of Rappi Mexico; Sujay Tyle, co-founder of Merama; and the Gutierrez Muguerza family office from Monterrey.

With the new capital infusion, Vetalia plans to invest in expanding its business, launching its technological platform, building a skilled team, and opening new clinics. The company has already opened its first clinic in Mexico City on July 24, 2023, and anticipates two more openings before the end of the same year.

An interesting point worth noting is that 80% of the founding team consists of women, all of whom bring valuable experience from the veterinary industry in the region.
